Selinunte: Temple F plan

Selinunte: Temple F plan (Athena Review)

Temple F was the earliest of the three large temples constructed in the East Group at Selinunte. Built in ca. 550 BC, it was probably dedicated to either Athena or Dionysios. It was a hexastyle temple, with 6 columns in front and 14 on a side, measuring  25 by 62 meters in area.

Triglyphs or three-bar reliefs from the exterior roofline are present among the huge column drums and lintel fragments at the site.
