This bowl fragment with a painted scene was made by the Lentini Group, from Sicily. It depicts a Pan-like figure at right and a female figure at left wearing a diadem and bracelets. Between them is a basin.This decorated vessel fragment (AG-2201) was found at the Temple of Zeus, near the city wall. It is dated to the Early Hellenistic period, at 335-300 BC.. |
