The Stadium of Domitian, built in AD 70-80, was used as a monumental garden as well as a stadium, possibly for foot-races since it is too small for horse or chariot races. 

The main surviving part is the large two-story exedra which lies along the mid-point of the elongated grounds. This detail shows an interior room in the lower course of the excedra structure comprising the stand or tribunal. Remains of a fresco are visible on the wall.
