The
Temple of Aesculapius, located at the corner of via Stabiana and via
dell' Tiempo d'Iside, is also known as the Temple of Zeus
Meilichios (VIII.7.25). This view faces west to the stairs leading to
the temple podium. In the foreground is the altar.
The temple was excavated in 1766, 1789, 1800, 1806 and 1869.
