The thermopolium is located directly opposite the Odeon, on the west side of via Stabiana (I 2, 11). It is also located next door to the House of L. Volusius Faustus, seen in the background with scaffolding. The thermopolium was excavated in1873, and later damaged by bombing in 1943.
The marble-topped serving counter in front may have had at least three dolia or large-mouth jars set into it.
