In the marketplace or Macellum next to the Forum are a number of fresco paintings in the 4th Style, which dates from the 1st century AD and features achitectural details combined with myths or fantasy landscapes.
This detail of one of the Macellum frescos shows a mythological scene, with a seated woman being addressed by a standing man.
