Herculaneum: Plan of the House of Aristides (Athena Review Image Archive)
The
House of Aristides is the first house in Insula II, going north on
Cardo III. The house was damaged by Bourbon excavations in the 18th
century, and most rooms have lost their decorations and other details.
Like the adjacent House of Argos, part of the House of Aristides remains unexcavated in the area of Cardo II.
