The Triple Gate is located near the east end of the Temple Mount`s southern wall, below the Crusader (AD 1000-1250) structure called Solomon`s Stables. It is one of three Herodian peiod (30 BC-AD 70) gates along the south wall.
In this 1865 photo by McDonald of the British Palestine Exploration
Fund (PEF), the Triple Gate is readily visible as three bricked-in
arches in the wall, with the man shown in the image standing before the
central arch.
