This
early photo by Francis Frith shows a wide sweeping view along the
southern wall of Jerusalem, toward the Temple Mount, El Aqsa Mosque, and the Dome of the Rock.
The southwest corner of the Mount is just visible at left (arrows).
Beyond is the Kidron Valley.
This is one of a series of albumen prints taken in Jerusalem by Francis Frith, published in 1862. Original prints are in the New York Public Library Archive.
