The Double Gate is one of three ancient gates in the south wall which date from the Herodian period (30 BC-AD 70). It is located below El Aqsa Mosque. The Double Gate is partly covered by a later wall built in the Crusader period (AD 1000-1250).

Fund (PEF), the right side of the arch of the Double Gate is partly
visible (arrows), just over the person shown standing in the image.
