Sculpture of an 18th Dynasty woman (Birmingham Museum; AE 1914-1).
This small sculpture dates from the reign of Amenhotep II. It shows a continuation of the finished, realistic portrait style in sculpture which had been raised to a high level in the preceding reign of Thutmose III. The headdress is similar to that of a court official.
