Hawara is a site in the Fayum region of lower Egypt which has yielded a number of papyrus documents from the Ptolemaic era. Among the literary fragments found here were passages from Homer, such as this fragment from the Iliad. This and other documents from the site are preserved in the Petrie Institute in London.
