Selongey: Gallo-Roman figurine of the goddess Minerva
Selongey: Figurne of Minerva (Dijon Mus. Arch; Athena Review Image Archive)
This largely complete figurine of Minerva, the Roman goddess (corresponding to the Greek Athena) was found in the town of Selongey. Minerva wears a tall plumed helmet and has a medallion of Jupiter on her chest.
This figurine is in the Dijon Museum of Archaeology.
