This mold-made, terracotta figurine of the goddess Minerva, in fragmentary condition, has been attributed to the late 2nd century AD workshop of Pistillus in Autun.Minerva (equivalent to Athena, the Greek goddess) has a breastplate with a head of Jupiter, and a very high plume on her helmet. Her right arm wouild have been raised.. |
