The tympaneum over the main portal of the Cathedral of Saint Lazare holds a Last Judgment scene with a large figure of Christ at the center. This unique statuary group was created in the early 12th century (AD 1120-1135) by the master sculptor named Gislebertus.
The composition by Gislebertus has a late Romanesque style, with elongated figures. Christ is at the center, with scenes from the Last Judgment around him.
