Sinopa was an Eocene carnivore of the creodont order and hyaenadontidae family, who lived in North America and Asia.

Sinopa rapax, shown here, was a small hyaenodontid weighing about 1.5 kg. The type specimen was found by Leidy in 1871 in the Bridger formation in Uinta County, Wyoming, dating from 50.3 to 46.2 million years ago.
