This chart shows the relations between Proprimates and early Primates, which in the Paleocene and Eocene periods split into two groups, lemur-like Adapoids and tarsier-like Tarsoids or Omomyids. By the Early Oligocene period (35-28 mya) there appear the earliest anthropoidea, the ancestors of monkeys, apes, and humans.Reference:Gingerich, P.
