Da Vinci: portrait by Metzi, ca. 1513
Portrait of Leonardo da Vinci (Metzi, ca. 1513)
This
portrait of Leonardo Da Vinci was drawn by Francisco Metzi in ca. 1513,
when Da Vinci (1452-1519) was about 60 years old. Metzi was an
associate of Da Vinci and the conte drawing was undoubtedly taken from
life, and is considered an accurate rendering of Da Vinci.
