Selinunte: Temple E, metope relief of Hera and Zeus

A series of four reliefs from the metope of Temple E at Selinunte were recovered in the 1830s. These include:  a) Herakles and an Amazon; b) Hera and Zeus; c) Artemis and Acteon; and d) Athena and the giant Enkeladus.

This relief shows Hera and Zeus. The relief dates from the 5th century BC.
