This terracotta mask of the head of Silenus, the satyr (AG 2157) was found in the Early Hellenistic Temple of Zeus near the city wall of Agrigento. It is one of several such heads of Silenus found at the site.  There is a hole in the forehead where a headdress or other mask appendage could be attached.

The Silenus mask dates from the period 335-300 BC.
