Agrigento: female figurine with mold (Mus.Agrigento; photo Athena Review 2004)


This terracotta figurine of a woman with a headdress (polos) and elaborate hairstyle is shown with the mold that produced it.

Both the figurine and its mold were found in the Hellentistic-Roman settlement at Agrigento, and date from the 3rd-1st century BC.
