The Temple of Isis, rebuilt between AD 62 and 79, contained numerus paintings in the 4th style.  These include fanciful landscapes with villas, temples, and exotic plants and animals. Another common theme was naval battles with triermes.

This 4th style painting from the Temple portrays one of several naval battles with two triermes (armed galleys), with fantasy architectural structures in the background.  Below is a floral composition, The whole is placed on a background resembling a stage set, and dominated by red coloring.
