The House of Romulus and Remus is also called Casa di Fabio H-- (VII 7, 10).
This house contained numerous 4th style frescos which were destroyed by bombing in World War II, including a painting of Romulus and Remus, for which the house is named.

The house was excavated in 1859-1864, and structurally repaired in 1950. This view shows its atrium, with traces of an impluvium in the center.
