The House of the Faun (VI 12, 2) is the largest in Pompeii and originated in 180-170 BC during the Samnite period.

This view shows frescos painted on the plastered walls of a bedroom (cubicula) with a vaulted ceiling. The paintings contain remnants of an architectural theme.
