The House of the Faun (VI 12, 2) is the largest in Pompeii and originated in 180-170 BC during the Samnite period.  

This view looks southeast from the 1st peristyle across the tablinum and Tuscan atrium, showing the high wall sections of  the ala at left. Beyond are portions of bedrooms (cubiculae) on the east side of the atrium.
