The Cathedral of Saint-Lazare was begun in AD 1120, and the structure was consecrated in 1130. The cathedral is celebrated for its tympaneum reliefs by the 12th century master sculptor Gislebertus.

This sculpted column, dated at AD 1120-1135,  is located below the center of the Tympaneum by Gislebertus.
